"Birds of Prey" is a 2002 American superhero television series developed by Laeta Kalogridis for The WB. The series is set in New Gotham, a city abandoned by Batman. It follows three female crimefighters: Helena Kyle (Huntress), the daughter of Batman and Catwoman; Barbara Gordon (Oracle), formerly Batgirl, who becomes a mentor to Helena after being paralyzed by the Joker; and Dinah Lance, a young metahuman with psychic abilities. The trio, known as the Birds of Prey, protect the city while battling various adversaries, including the vengeful Dr. Harleen Quinzel (Harley Quinn).
